Renovation
We classify repairs into different types:
- Partial renovation: this type of remodeling may involve replacing only one or a few parts of the apartment, for example, just replacing the flooring or just painting the walls.
- Touch up renovation: this is the simplest and cheapest type of remodeling, which usually involves painting the walls, replacing the flooring, updating the wallpaper, and replacing handles and hardware on doors and windows.
- Major renovation: this is a more serious type of repair, which involves replacing heating, electrical, plumbing, windows and doors systems, as well as installing new flooring and updating walls and ceilings.
- Apartment reconstruction: this is the most complex and expensive type of remodeling, which may involve changing the layout of the apartment, moving walls, installing new plumbing and electrical systems, as well as installing windows and doors, and laying flooring and wall coverings such as parquet, marble, etc.
We also classify renovation based on the level of complexity:
I. ECONOM – simple apartment renovation: involves performing work without changing the layout of engineering networks, so all plumbing and electrical equipment remains unchanged (previously laid engineering communications are used). Materials and equipment used in the work are readily available.
II. STANDARD – typical apartment renovation: involves design changes, replacing windows and doors, complete dismantling of old finishes, replacing engineering networks, replacing plumbing equipment, and more. Materials and equipment used in the work are available in large network construction stores and have an average cost. It is desirable to perform this type of apartment remodeling with a project of basic drawings.
III. TOP – complex apartment renovation: involves developing a detailed project of drawings, redesign, replacing windows and doors, complete dismantling of old finishes, replacing engineering networks, plumbing, and more. Materials and equipment used on these types of projects are purchased at specialized construction stores, they are of high quality and cost.
IV. LUX – exclusive apartment renovation: involves unique interior design. Remodeling work is carried out only after the design project has been developed. After a thorough study of the entire range of materials and equipment, materials and equipment used in these types of projects are expensive and of the highest quality available in the market, often custom-made, and can only be purchased from specialized suppliers. Such apartment renovation work should only be entrusted to specialists of the highest level, as financial risks are extremely high.
