Fiberglass laying

The process of installing fiberglass fabric is one of the steps in preparing the surface before applying decorative coatings on walls during apartment renovations. Fiberglass fabric is one of the most popular materials used for wall cladding in modern interior design, as it has many advantages over other materials: it is durable, resistant to mechanical damage, non-flammable, does not fade in the sun, resistant to moisture, and allows the walls to breathe.

The technology of installing fiberglass fabric includes several stages:

  1. Surface preparation: the wall surface should be smooth, clean, free of dust and grease stains. If there are obvious unevenness, cracks or other defects on the wall, they should be eliminated before laying the fiberglass fabric.
  2. Glue application: the adhesive for fiberglass fabric should be of high quality and match the characteristics of the fabric. The glue is applied to the wall surface evenly with a spatula or brush.
  3. Laying fiberglass fabric: the fiberglass fabric is laid on the adhesive layer and smoothed out to avoid the formation of bubbles and wrinkles. If necessary, the fiberglass fabric can be cut to the desired size with scissors.
  4. Sealing seams: the seams between the fiberglass fabric sheets are sealed with fiberglass tape to strengthen the surface.
  5. Surface leveling: after laying the fiberglass fabric, the surface needs to be leveled by applying a layer of putty. After the putty dries, the surface is sanded.

After this, decorative coatings can be applied to the walls. Thus, the technology of installing fiberglass fabric is an important stage of renovation works, which allows creating a beautiful and durable wall surface.
