Installation of partitions
The installation of partitions is an important stage in apartment renovation. Partitions can be used to divide a room into zones or create additional rooms. There are several partition installation technologies depending on the material that is used for their manufacture.
Gypsum board partitions
- At the first stage, a metal frame is installed, to which gypsum board is attached using screws.
- Then, the joints and surface of the gypsum board are plastered using putty. After the putty dries, the surface is sanded to obtain a smooth finish.
- Next, the surface of the gypsum board can be painted, wallpapered, tiled, or finished with another decorative material.

Brick or concrete partitions
- First, the location of the partition is determined, and the location of doors or windows is marked.
- Then, bricks or concrete blocks are laid using a special mortar. To increase the strength of the structure, reinforcement is placed between rows of bricks or blocks.
- After laying, the surface of the partition is plastered using a special mix of cement, sand, and water.
- Then, the surface is sanded to obtain a smooth finish and covered with finishing material.
Glass partitions
- First, a metal frame is made to which glass is attached. The attachment can be done using clamps or special profiles.
- Then, the joints between the glass and profiles are sealed with special silicone sealant, which ensures reliable fixation of the glass.
- After the glass is installed, the partition is finished using painting, decorative film application, or other finishing materials.
